Maynard Evans High School

January 23rd, 2012

Williams Company started demolition on Evans High School in 2010. The project, a 340,000 square foot new high school was completed in late 2011 to the delight of the students, faculty and surrounding community.

This has been one of the most exciting school projects for Orange County Public Schools that Williams Company has ever been a part of. From the 200,000 SF of foundation work to the 21,500 yards of concrete used, it has been amazing bringing this high school to life.

The beautiful, state-of-the-art education facility on the corner of Pine HIlls and Silver Star Road will serve high school students for many years to come.

Williams Company works with Target and The Heart of America to remodel school media center

October 5th, 2011

Williams Company recently completed their third school library makeover as part of the Target & Heart of America Foundation READesign program.  Hillsborough County School District’s Foster Elementary was chosen for this project and received a complete renovation of their existing media center.  Williams Company provided the construction services with help from some of our valued subcontractor partners.   “Being a part of this renovation was truly a blessing for us.  Watching the reaction of the students as they saw the new media center for the first time was priceless,” said Williams Company Vice-President Rich Shannon.  “Being able to give something back to the community that supports us while at the same time partnering with our great clients at Target and Hillsborough County Schools is a great position to be in,” added Mr. Shannon.

The READesign Library Makeover revitalizes elementary school libraries into warm, friendly places that engage children in learning, creating a love of reading. Each themed READesign Library Makeover includes vibrant paint, murals or original paintings by a nationally recognized artist, new furniture, and 1,000-2,000 new, high-quality library books.  Since 2007, Target & Heart of America have renovated 118 libraries nationwide and will complete 42 more this year.

Another Target down…another perfect 10!

July 21st, 2011

The team at Target Boot Ranch (T-0652) closed out the project today and received a perfect 10!

It is a Target company policy that upon completion of every Target new construction/renovation/addition project, they award a rating. On a scale of 1-10, Williams Company received a 10 today on their latest completed project. Target Boot Ranch in Oldsmar, FL was a very quick right-sizing project, adding a grocery element to an existing store, while the store continued servicing the community. With a three month turnaround, this 102,245 SF project was a success due to our diligent team.

Congratulations Team Boot Ranch. Another successful Target on the books!
